Grateful Colors

Hi Everyone!

Today starts the final week to get your projects in at the latest
3 Girl JAM Challenge.

Aren't these colors great!?!
The nice thing is they can be Autum colors or Christmas colors- it all depends on how you look at it!

I used a file from The Cutting Cafe- who is generously sponsoring a $15.00 gift certificate to their store for the challenge winner!
I accented the ribbon with some Creative Inspirations Paint in Rust

Make sure to link up your own project HERE by next Friday.

Watch for fun things to come in December from 3 Girl JAM.

Gone Squatchin with Jessica Esch

Good Morning 3 Girl Jam Fan's!!
It is Jessica from
here to share a fun project with you all.
Ok so I am not sure if you all have watched the show
"Finding Bigfoot"
on  Animal Planet but it is a quite an obsession at my house...
not by myself but my hubby and my 11 year old son.
They LOVE the show...so much so that my 11 year old wants to go and find bigfoot..LOL

This leads up to my project for today..
He has been asking me for a book mark forever
(the 15 I have made him and his brother over the past year are just not enough)
so here it is......

He LOVES this....
I took a picture of Bigfoot from the internet and traced it using my cameo.
After cutting it out and laminating the bookmark for stability I added some of my favorite colors of crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam~
Harvest Orange from the Harvest Bundle
and
Hot Chocolate from the Hot & Cold Bundle

What do you think???
As always
additional details on all the products used
can be found on my blog

JOY Shaker Card with Jessica S

Welcome Welcome Welcome
3 Girl JAMMERS
Jessica S. here, to greet you with my
First Ever SHAKER Card!

I get to show you the darling miniature bows I am so obsessed with lately!
It's just something about things that are girly, pretty and tiny
that make me feel like a kid again!!!
And, of course, they are SUPER EASY to make using the 3 Girl JAM Bow Maker!!!
and the  White ribbon from the July 2012 limited edition Red, White and Blue Bundle.
I had started by using my Sizzix Christmas Tree Die on Produce Green Core card stock.
As soon as I picked up the left over scraps, I got the idea to create my first EVER Shaker Card.
I embossed the outer frame with a snowflakes folder, then sanded lightly, and added some Platinum Dew Drop ink.   I applied some Stardust Stickles using a cotton ball for added sparkle.
For my "shaker pouch", I used a plastic treat bag and added some Green, Gold and Red micro beads.  I grabbed some little "bits and bobs" I had kept from different Cricut Cut leftovers
and scraps left from using my punches.  There were some teeny, tiny,
fun Scarlet Pearl Core card stock pieces (from a banner cut off of Pretty Pennants) as well as a few blue and green snowflakes leftover after  using an ekSuccess border punch.
(SEE Heather Lynn, I knew I would use them...LOL)
Behind the top layer, I used core couture Green card stock, embossed
it with a Swirls folder and sanded the swirls lightly.  I added a touch ofGold Dew Drops ink to finish it.   The ribbon garland was created by simply knotting up the Holly Berry Red  Crinkle Ribbon  and adhering behind the tree cut.
The JOY sentiment is a rub-on transfer.
The border was created by using the same Snowflake punch I mentioned before.
I lined the inside of my card with core couture Red card stock.

The current Challenge at 3 Girl JAM  is still open until Thursday night.
The theme is a fabulous Thanksgiving Color Challenge.
I tried to incorporate those colors (a hint of some and a dash of others!!!)
and jumped over the Thanksgiving theme a bit, skipping straight to Christmas.
I think the colors work well for both Holidays, don't you???
Please join in the fun and play along
for a chance to win some AMAZING PRIZES
and a Guest Designer Spot at 3 Girl JAM!!!
I would also be delighted to have you stop by my Blog to have a peek around!

Thanks Sweet Friend

I hope everyone survived all the turkey and stuffing last week.
We had a very quiet day which was lovely.
Did you all get what you wanted from the Friday sales?
The only thing I bought was a new computer, which wasn't even on Friday. My laptop keeps overheating and shutting off (thank goodness for extended warranties) so I ended up getting a new desktop and will be getting the laptop fixed for the grands. I do not even want to think about installing all the programs and any conflicts with Windows 8. If anyone has any advice with SCAL or CCR working with Windows 8 I would love to hear it!!!

For my card today I used some Merlot crinkle ribbon (1 of my top 26 favs) and a cutting file from our challenge sponsor The Cutting Cafe.
Be sure to check out the 3 Girl JAM challenge blog and link up your projects.

If you would like to see more about my card feel free to visit me at my blog Oma's Crafts.

Happy Crafting!

Autumn GLow

Good early morning everyone.  Rebecca here from Bloomingpink Studios.

Today I'm showing you a candle I decorated for one of our daughter's birthday.  Isn't it lovely?  And it only took a little bit of running around my craft supplies and 20 minutes - Start to Finish!

Don't you just love it when you take just a little extra time and energy, transforming an otherwise simple item into a such an elegant and pretty gift?

WELL --  I do.  I dig it.

This little package really popped with the bright crinkle ribbon.  It added just the little touch that was needed.   I used Sunflower from the Harvest Bundle.  I find myself grabbing that particular color so much.  I think because it works well all year long.

So, there you go!

Quick, easy and awesome.

I need more 20 minute lovelies...What are your quick gift giving ideas?

Cheers!

Also--
Remember today is the last day of the 30%-40% off sale at www.3girljam.com

I spent some time on-line Wed. night/Thurs. morning- did you know you can get a lot of the Black Friday deals on-line that early!?!
I already got 75% of the things I wanted and didn't even have to leave my chair.
Wa-Hoo!

In honor of my love of shopping, I have a Black Friday deal for all of you!

Thank You Card

Happy Thanksgiving 3 Girl JAMmers.  This is Cheri from DJ's Sundries.  I have so much to be thankful for and I love celebrating this holiday.  I trust you do too.  I have a little inspiration for you if you're not too busy eating turkey leftovers.

But first... have you checked out the current challenge over on the 3 Girl JAM challenge blog?  It's a color challenge and you should really link a project.  I'll be linking this one.  You will be able to link your project at the bottom of this post.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I have a thank you note for you today.  Now I must admit, that I just didn't sit down at my desk and decide to make a thank you note on the day I made this.  It actually came about as I was putting scraps away from my 3 Girl JAM challenge project.  I new that I needed a thank you note and knew that I could use the leftover pieces from the Cutting Cafe and make a quick card.

However, I used the Merlot 3 Girl JAM ribbon to make my little medallion.  If you would like to know how I did it, just head on over to my blog and I will link you to the video. Here are the materials I used:

Merlot ribbon - 3 Girl JAM
Coordinations "leaf" smooth textured paper
Kraft cardstock
"With Gratitude" set from the Cutting Cafe
Red paper from my stash

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to take some time to enjoy the little things today.

Did someone say Turkey?

Hi!  Gloria from Oma's Crafts here!
Are you all ready for tomorrow? Hubby and I will be spending Thanksgiving here at home with my parents. My brothers always go to their in-laws, my sister lives too far away and my daughter and grands are going to her bio-dads for the holiday.  My mother always wants the whole spread even though there are not many mouths to feed which means we are all sick of turkey and stuffing til next year. lol

I made this little guy in honor of the holiday using the Teddy Bear Parade cart. I used some Merlot crinkle ribbon to frame him and put him on a Wobble.
Don't you just want to squeeze the stuffing out of him. lol I just couldn't resist that little joke.

Be sure to check out the challenge blog and link up your projects!! You still have 2 more weeks!!

Happy Crafting and have a Very Blessed Holiday!!!

Sparkly Holiday Gift Bags

Hey everyone...I am so glad it's my turn to share yet another super fun, quick & easy project with all of you using some of the FAB Crinkle Ribbon from 3 Girl Jam!!

With the holidays fast approaching I thought it would be fun to make a couple gift bags and get some of my holiday projects checked off my list. My daughter has already claimed these to use for her friends..haha.

To create the ornaments, I die cut some images & layered some Goblin GreenHolly Berry and Sunflower crinkle ribbon. The bags are mini paper sacks from our local hardware store...I added some craft paint & glitter (I did want to note that I used a clear coat on the bags so the glitter wouldn't come off). Topped the bags off with more of the Sunflower crinkle ribbon, some holiday sentiments and that's it!!!

This was a pretty quick project to do and you could whip a few of these out in a pinch if you needed a gift bag and there are none to be found in your stash.

Please check out my blog, ScrappinAbby, to see additional step-out photos on how I made these sparkly holiday gift bags along with a complete supply list.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Grateful Mini Album

Hey Hey.... Scrappin Madge here and I am super excited to showcase this fun album that I created.  First off I have to say 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon is the bomb!! I just can't get enough of this stuff.  I want to put it on every project.  As you will see here I have just four of the many many colors 3 Girl Jam has to offer.  But... Whoa buddy I am getting ahead of myself.  I bet you are wanting to see what this mini album looks like? Yes? YES! Ask and ye' shall receive LOL Here is my design

This book is a Grateful book. I thought I would start a tradition of my own and each year write the things that I am grateful for.  The first page of this book has an open frame.  I am going to take a picture on Thanksgiving of my family to start this book.

The next page is dated and I used lined paper to write what I am thankful for, for 2012

The second page is for the year 2013 however I didn't put the date just in case i need a little more room for my thankfulness this year. {hee hee}

This is just the back of the page you saw here is the next page...

Again using the Harvest Orange and Awesome BOW MAKER from 3 Girl Jam.

This page I used some fun sticker embellishments and a fun burlap flower.

Here I used the three ribbons Antique White, Harvest Orange, and Sunflower on the side of the mat board piece.  Along with a sticker and fun flower.

This is the last page.... however there is more room to add to my grateful book.
I used several sticker embellishments and mat board. I tied the tag with Goblin Green Crinkle ribbon.

Thanks for looking at my Grateful album today.  Be sure to check out 3 Girl Jam Store here to purchase this fun crinkle ribbon and lot's more goodies.

Until next time crafters...

Sorry for the horrible glare in the pic...my light box was out of commission! :(
I started with white card stock for the base.  I cut some of my scrap papers and grabbed a few frames I had in my stash.  The round teal frame matched the papers and I just knew, the Caribbean Splash Bundle Crinkle Ribbon would fit perfectly with these colors too!
I added the chipboard deer by Prima and the sentiment sticker by MME.
